Now listen in whenever you want to and remember to request what you'd like to have on the air right here on this blog. It's the best way to make sure that I can find your song.

Wednesday Sept 21 2pm EST

The doors fly open on a new season of music with me, the Blue Caribou, this Wednesday at 2pm EST (Eastern Standard Time). I'll be checking this blog before the show and also after it in order to gather requests so that we can have a good 'ol time. In order to stream online, you should go to WITR's site and you'll be able to listen live. Also, a podcast will be available for download of of this site probably starting Friday.

When you leave a request, please leave the title, artist, record, and your first name. Post away.

Welcome

Welcome to to the new home of the Blue Caribou. I am the Blue Caribou and I host two shows a week on the local station here WITR. Look for me comming up this Wednesday and Thursday at 2pm. These are modern music and more shows and I try to feed some variety into them. Over half of the music will be new and I'll strive for variety while trying to play things that I feel are appealing.

That leads us to the style of music that you can expect to hear when you tune in. I play electronical and world music and most of the upbeat instrumental-only stuff I can find. You'll find that my own music is in this same vein. I also play synth, a little punk, and most importantly whatever you request. That's where this blog comes in. I'll be checking in throughout the show in order to check comments for requests. The best way to get me to play something is to request it here on the blog at least one day in advance so that I can find it in WITR's vast library.

WITR's frequency is 89.7 FM in the Rochester, NY area, but if that's not where you are you can stream live online. Finally, I'll be making all of the shows available to podcast so that if you request something and can't listen while I'm live, you'll still hear it.

Ok let's review: Feel free to request songs on this blog and then I'll play them on air if I can. Listen on the radio machine or stream it online. If you miss the show you'll be able to get it later as a podcast.
